Works from Trusted Health, a workforce management platform that helps health systems drive clinical cost savings and bolsters nurse retention, today announced details showcasing its industry growth and impact.

Works launched out of Trusted Health in 2021, stemming from its vision to create a product that allowed health systems to centralize their clinical staffing operations across their multi-facility systems and decrease their need for expensive contingent labor. Works first collaborated with Mercy, which sought to create a more sustainable workforce and reduce reliance on costly external staffing sources. The shared vision that drove Mercy’s success with Works is now being adopted more broadly. Works has steadily grown its customer base of premier U.S. health systems, including Deaconess Health System, helped its partners create a more flexible and efficient clinical workforce, and driven 2.5x revenue growth YoY.

Works has also advanced the impact of its AI capabilities. Most recently, it was granted early access to Google DeepMind’s Gemini 1.5 Pro, an opportunity that will help bolster Works’ use of AI. Last year, Works launched a dynamic pricing algorithm, which uses AI to dynamically adjust and set hourly shift rates based on market demand and nurse availability. Through the AI-powered dynamic pricing feature, nurses gain visibility into available shifts through the Works mobile app and are empowered to pick the shift that works best for their schedule. The platform intelligently calculates incentives based on areas of highest need and likelihood of shift pickup. By automating manual contract management, credentialing, and recruiting tasks, Deaconess saw a 14% reduction in premium spend – enabling its internal core staff to pick up more shifts and be compensated appropriately.
